I just upgraded to vista. Everything's nice and smooth, except the sound. I installed the vista drivers from creative, but it comes without any of the software normally available (EAX console, speaker settings, effects, etc.). It also sounds crap. On XP, I had it all tweaked to sound great, but even without that it sounded a mile better than what I have now. It's as if someone decided to durn the bass dail down to zero, and treble up to max.

Anyone?

He already has the drivers. He wants the software to configure the card properly - which he should be able to do quite easily without the software, although some digital audio stuff might get complicated and switching between 96 and 48KHz.

but that does get the software.

it gets everything related to the hardware.

It doesn't look like it does. It just downloads stuff from the manufacturer, which he's got. It's not going to create Vista based software for him, so it's no use. While creative have released drivers for Audigy cards in Vista they haven't (at least to my knowledge) released any related software.
