Another thing, Marine medics?? ALL medics associated with the Corps are Navy corpsman! Not Marines! And what the hell is with the anti tank bubba doing with a crappy mp-3 or whatever? Give that man an M-16! That's the standard!

Yay drunken posting after getting "owned" on Wake! If it's not Japan in the '40's, it's friggin' China in '07!! Damn you Wake Island for being so strategic and getting marines killed!!!

An Iwo Jima map would be sweet, is there one in BF 1942? The dates off, but whatever...

Well thats because in BF1942 it was Japan vs. USMC

But Japan is not in BF2, so they used Chinese instead. I don't think its such a big problem. A Japanese plane chrashed back in the 40's, and now its 2007 and the Chinese are trying to take it over. Big deal.

For Horseman 77: It was said in boot camp that "oorah" means kill or death in Turkish. I've never looked to see if it's true, but it works for me.

what, you didnt know Wake was one of the early US battles in the Pacific?

Really a 3 isle atol Wake, Booth and Peale. It is also the Place an Amphibious landing was repelled For the only time in WWII

Being a grunt for 6 years i have to disagree with your medic comment. Our medics wore all Marine clothing and were harder than most of the shitbirds in our company. But yes, we do still need the navy for a ride. Kinda like letting my wife drive me everywhere.

That's good, considering my 8 years in the Marine Infantry, I was never on any ship or LCAC. My rides were by the Air Force, or Tower Air, Delta, and United.

You are correct sir! Marines in Korea could hear the " Oorah " Chant from nearby Turkish positions during Communist wave attacks. They liked it and borrowed it. Bad boys the turks, keep them on our side please.

Gung Ho ! is loosely Translated ( lack the ability to be literally translated I am told ) as " together in Harmony " or " Together as one " From Marine Raider Andrew Carlsons days spent with the Chinese. They really impressed him with their Spirit.

I dont think DICE understood that their is a difference between calling a Marine a Marine and not a Soldier. I am sure if there was a US military on the staff then it would have been pointed out, hell im AF and I even know better than to call a Marine a Soldier, you might as well be kicking a Marine in the nuts.

Go bitch to someone who cares..... this is a game... In real life objects aren't made out of polygons either and we certainly do not have to worry about fps dropping all of a sudden...

If you want reality, go play Americas Army or similar

Please add something constructive to the thread. Obviously, some other members do care, as there are plenty of other posts.

I also don't want to play America's Army, I want to play a game with Marines in it. I know it's a game, but my status as a marine is a source of pride, and if it translates over into something I enjoy, such as gaming, all the better. It's not that hard for a developer to ask some simple questsions to make the gaming experience more believable, it's too bad that step wasn't taken.
