How do I unlock a new weapon?

I know it´s a stupid question, but I simply cant fugure it out.

and tried to figure out what to do, can someone please explain it in a very simple way to me?

You need to earn enough points to get the unluck.

When you got enough points go to BFHQ when you first log in the game and make your choice.

Ok u cant for the moment but as soon as the stats work again go to bfhq (after u get promoted) and then u should hear the drum rolls and u get to chose1/2 unlocks(depends if u have sf or not)

It says I have zero points even though I´ve played on a ranked server for about 5 hours?

Yeh, EA's stats servers or something along thsoes lines have been down for the past week or so, so untill they've been fixed you wont be able to unlock weapons or earn global points

The server I play on (only co-op for me) says it´s a privately ranked server, does that mean I can still unlock weapons the usual way?

One more... in beneeth your avatars theres "stats-Xfire" which you can clisk to watch..

I have Xfire, how come the same thing isn´t happening for me?

No. No co-op servers can grant you official unlocks.

you need to play ranked servers on the internet, and earn poinst to get ranked. once you get an rank/promotion you can select an unlock.

You need to play on official ranked servers.

Go to the MP screen and select the "ranked" server filter, only ranked servers will show up.
