When i type in "ipconfig" in the command prompt, it says " 'ipconfig' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

On the line where i type it goes like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\Conor>

dont know if that means anything.  but im trying to get this to work and it just wont cooperate.  any ideas?

Make sure you actually have the IPCONFIG file in C:\Windows\System32

This depends on your operating system. ipconfig should work if you have WinXP. If you have Windows ME (which I recomend replacing immediately), Win 98, or Win 95 then you should try winipcfg. Otherwise, if you do have XP do as Titch says and check for ipconfig.exe:

I'm not entirely sure about Vista.

Good luck.

Type

Code:

cd C:\Documents and Settings\Conor\
and see if that gets it back to normal again
