Isn't that nuts? I wondered what people think about this but especially people outside of the US.
Source?
Reason?
They're banning it in San Francisco, not the whole USA -_-

edit: and it's only being banned in municipal areas or something like that. You'll still get your Evian fix at CVS, you just won't get it at the court building.

Why, something to do with the reduction of waste in plastic bottles perhaps??
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
I heard it on the radio. I am looking for some sort of link.RedTwizzler wrote:

We have bottled water in Scotland, i dont get why. We have the best water in the entire world straight out of the tap.
Here is Salt Lake City trying it. I heard about NYC though.

Yes, the plastic is too much they say.

Why not just have more recycling options for water bottles. And, why only water bottles? What about Coke and shit like that?
Over there you guys are lucky. Here in the USA like in Germany when Hitler was in power we are forced to drink fluoride in our water. I do not believe fluoride is in water over there now, it's mostly the US.White-Fusion wrote:

Our water comes straight from the hills. Cant really explain how fresh it tastes.zedxer wrote:

I don't drink my water. It comes from a water treatment center in Pennslvania. My water leaves a black crud out and on my faucet and other places it touches. I 'll be damned before I drink that fluoride waste depot.White-Fusion wrote:

Just in case you all are wondering why I am against fluoride it is because it is waste from the manufacturing of aluminum that they just love to dump in our water over here.
Water in Melbourne Australia is very tasty. Over here they sell "Mt Franklin" bottled water which btw is owned by Coca-Cola. Very popular but tap water is fine by me.
ha, st louis may be #1 for homicides in the US, but we are also in the top five for the best tap water.
take that!
take that!
Well...it was.White-Fusion wrote:

Glasgow was known for having the best water around. But now it has decreased. It tastes of chlorine and aluminium.
They are complaining about environmental issues and
the waste created from the container used to hold "Healthy H20."
When really they want us to take advantage of all those nice fancy water
filtration plants that employ so many workers and wring water out of sewage
and crap, that ends up being so toxic and full of additives like clorine and Flourine
and so many others; that shits POISON people!
Your better off drinking bottled water that is labeled for "Drinking" and spring waters
are also good, so you do the math. Is it worth your health to support these
mostly for-profit comapnies that clean/distill/make this so called drinkable water?
I'll drink whatevers purest, and thats what I'll try and get. Just like Organic food is becoming popular.
Theres no putting a price on your health, we all need water and nutrients to survive: if it tastes wrong, it is wrong.

that would suck... all i drink is bottled water.
Damn straight.SEREMAKER wrote:
well why not, I hear its the new in-thing to do is drink straight from the toilet
Water bottles end up in the trash because recycling centers are few and far between, and the 5 cent refund recycling machines found at many supermarkets only take water bottles in two states (I think).
That doesn't account for the general laziness of the public though.

Well NYC water is really good. Way better than bottled. We get it from a few reservoirs upstate. I once hiked to one when I was in camp and the water in the reservoir was so good we were all drinking from it, and putting it in our canteens.
