In few days I will have to choose a new gun when I am Sergeant Major. Could you please give me your opinion on both guns, what are their advantage and defaults in game.

p90 probably, they are about the same but it has 10 more bullets. it depends if you play inf or normal more. if u play inf AT is more useful as an extra gun. as opposed to useless mines and wrench.
P90 although MP7 is the only smg for engineer.
both are cool SMG's . Choose whatever you want , MP7 lacks 10 bullets per clip and doesnt have aimpoint , but it's bursts\full auto are actually more accurate then P90

As said before, don't bother choosing, you will get both.

if you had enough of running around with a boomstick, I would say MP7
MP7 ! Excellent at close range combat. Good at distant single shot mode pop offs and Engineer is better than Anti-Tank

When you are promoted and you have SF, which you do, then you could choose both.
MP7 - engineer.
That way you have machineguns at all kits. I think shotguns sucks big time.
But as mentioned over here, you get both, so don't worry mate.

you engage in close combat, the pumpguns are far better than a smg.

MP7 & MP-5 are the most accurate smgs , both single shot and full auto . P90 is nowhere close , aimpoint just gives you false feeling of accuracy ...
