No, I know it doesnt. But adding that kind of cooler ( which cools your GFX by about 20C idle and 35C on load - unbelievable ) does.

That cooler takes up around 4 PCI slots on its own. That is why if the PSU was somewhere else, it would allow more space.

Ok so i opened up my pc and checked the wiring and none of it is blocking the fans, well first i had my case on the right side of the table where the air intake was being blocked and i soon moved it to the inside where the air could go through and my temp only went down a couple of degrees, and i did buy 1 120mm fan and 1 80mm fan for my case and my temp for gfx went down to 53 c, cpu 61c, and my mobo to 22c. Also i am gonna take your guys advice on buying better fans for the cpu and gfx card, and thx for all the help u guys give +1 for everyone
CPU at 61c is OK.

You could probably get it down lower, with new fans/heatsinks, but your entering 'diminishing returns' territory.

Someone suggested getting some Artic Silver goop - this would probably be the next thing I'd try - you get more than enough in one tube to do numerous CPUs and heatsinks - so you could test it out on your stock CPU fan/heatsink and then still have some spare if you do decide to get a replacement - also get a good, residue free, alcohol based solvent - take your heatsink and fan off your CPU and give them both a good clean with the solvent (be a little carefull with the CPU as you don't want to damage or scratch it) - when you're sure they're both absolutely clean, goop some Arctic Silver on, as per the instructions, refit your heatsink/fan and away you go - as whoever it was, you could get upto a 5c drop just from this alone!
CPU at 61C is NOT OK. If that's the highest it ever goes under massive sustained load, then maybe, possibly. Any temperature above 60C is too hot for a C2D.
Semantics. When I say something is 'OK' I mean 'it aint gonna break tommorrow, but it could be better'. Hence I then went on to suggest he try some Arctic Silver.

It's not OK. It's damaging.

He's running it OC'd quite a lot, the best suggestion would be to clock it down a bit. If you OC CPUs, you generally need to make sure they are adequately cooled - I've seen a lot of toasted C2Ds that have been running at 60C or thereabout - everyone seems to think that since 60C is pretty much the guideline "Do Not Exceed" temp, that running at 59C idle is fine - it isn't. He hasn't mentioned load testing it, so I'm worried the temps he's providing are idle temps - in which case he needs to do something about the CPU temp NOW!

Can't see it taking 4 slots, with a thick fan on you're looking at 78mm.

Yeesh, fair enough, that wouldn't fit in a Nine Hundred, well it will, but if your PSU has a downfacing fan (i.e upfacing now its in the bottom) it's just gonna take all the air off it. Guess you dont have a sound card either.

Hm...You sure it wouldn't fit? I think it just might with the fan and some breathing space.
I don't have a soundcard.

I really want that thing though; I am going to be OC'ing my GFX card, and stock coolers fail.

I'll try get you a photo in my case, give me 5 mins you can judge for yourself then.

There you go, you've got 130mm gap exactly from the top on the graphics card to the top of the PSU.

Scorpion....I have an Antec Nine Hundred. I was just asking if it could fit comfortably. I know it could fit, but comfortable is another thing altogether.

OK. I'm confused. Who's PC are we talking about now?

Mine, with my Antec 900. I need to know if there would be enough airflow and space for the fan and the VGA cooler to work effectively.
You seem to know about this more than I do.

Sorry. I dunno. <*shrug*>

I've used one of those vga coolers once, it was shit.

But, in general... maybe... the one I had sucked the hot air away, rather than blowing cold air onto the video card, so it could create all sorts of undesirable eddies and what not. Like it may just suck cooler air away from where you need it... or it may work just fine.

As I said, the one time I tried one, it was crap-to-useless.

But your mileage may vary.

Well, this is a beast. The best VGA cooler on the market. Go look at tomshardware and shit, they rate it the best ever.

Cool air in my case is not a problem, all my fans are on high, I have a lot of airflow in it and I am getting an extra 120mm 2500RPM ( 105CFM ) fan on the side to cool my computer down even more.

If worst comes to worst, I will use it as a passive cooler - It still cools down your GFX a lot. Especially if you have good airflow on your rig.

Ah.. sorry, I hadn't actually looked at the link you'd provided - I thought you were talking about one of those additional coolers that takes up an expansion slot and just blows air out the back...

But now I've looked at the link, yeah, I can see that beast would cool your gpu A LOT!

And, if you can find the space for it in your case - I wouldn't worry about airflow - you won't be.

You may also want to consider a fan controller to tweak your air flow.
