The settings on the tables below are from our larger server. They seem pretty popular with the people who play there but I was wondering:
What settings do most people liked to play on and which maps?
It seems that this is something that makes it into many, many posts but I thought it would be good for us to have a single place to compare ideas/opinions (did a search, didn't find another, sorry if there is).

A quick run down of the settings and a few of my opinios...
Views
I think it's nice to be able to look external, esp in transport. Not real but very 'game'.
Free cam gives too much information to dead players IMO.
Autobalance
Wouldn't it be nice not to need this? I wanted to have it switched off cos I don't like getting team swapped (and I do die a lot) but you just don't get fair teams without it.
Sad, but true.
Hit indicator
In the absence of blood or pain reactions it's nice to know that sniper shot or whatever was on the money.
Man down
Time for a madic to get to you with them volts. Pretty standard I think.
Max players
I don't know about you but I find BF2 struggles with 64 slots filled. We had it up there for a couple of weeks and it was fun seeing our server ranking rocket but there were more server based connection issues. Don't get me wrong, we have a quality server and it can handle it but BF2 just seems to run smoother on 50 slots.
For those who like a smaller game, well, we have a smaller server too but it's not so popular so I based this on the larger server.
That said though, if you wanna see more 16 man servers out there plaease let us know.
Min players for Votes
The server decides how many votes are needed to carry based on the number of connected players but you could set this to 30 and you would need 30 votes no matter now many players were in.
Punkbuster
0 = off, 1 = on.
Rounds per map
Ballance of frustrations here: don't want to wait for a map to load, don't want to spend all day on a map I don't like so much.
Friendly fire
Percentile; kinda speaks for itself.
Spawn time and start delay
Time to pick guns etc.
Team/ticket ratio
Again, percentile, not a ratio.
Reastart map time
Check out the scores arter the round.
TK Num. Punish to kick
How many times you can be punished for TKing before the server boots your sorry ass.
TK auto punnish
0 = off, 1 = on.
Does anyone have this switched on?!

0 = off, 1 = on.
I have this off cos TK's happen and there's just too many people who'll punnish through frustration when it's accidental. That and our admins get rid of most of the smacktards.
VOIP
Don't see a reason to switch it off and heard that 3 gives best results. Happy to hear otherwise.
Voting
I don't know about you but I get sick of having to respond to votes all the time just so I can use my 'PgUp' and 'PgDn' keys for communication.
Map Rotation
What maps don't you like on ratation?
What about sizes?
In the table above, the maps without a number have the map size determined by the server based on number of slots, therefore on this server it'll be 64 player maps. The ones with numbers are that size irrespective of the number of player slots.
