Mp7: Good. Nice clip size nice fire rate. Bad. accuracy and clip size.(3x40 round)
P90: Good. Everything thats good about the mp7 plus accuracy. Bad. Not much maybe not enough clips? (3x50 round)

P90 has in fact a pretty good long range accuracy. I've killed targets at "medium sniper distance" with it.
P-90 is better, it gives you good accuracy over large distances. AT is more suitable playing on foot and it is better to have large assortment of weapons at your disposal. While as engineer you could always fight in vehicles with your wrench as primary weapon - buggy/jeep 0.50 cal is better than any other in-game gun, not to mention tank, APC or AA. And finally, Engineer "shines" with his shotguns - you could dominate even an I/O server with these weapons.
X. No. Wrong. Nein. P90 is barely the most accurate SMG, followed by the MP7A1. MP5A3, Type 85, and PP-19 are tied for last. I've checked again and again in BF2 game files.Longbow wrote:

you engage in close combat, the pumpguns are far better than a smg.
MP7 & MP-5 are the most accurate smgs , both single shot and full auto . P90 is nowhere close , aimpoint just gives you false feeling of accuracy ...
P90, make use of your AT kit.
From my experience , P90 tends to miss more then MP7 , on single shot . And MP7's full auto is also better . Maybe thats just me though.. anyways , MP7 gives an engineer some variety that P90 doesn't ( for AT )k30dxedle wrote:

Indeed Longbow is correct...
MP7 adds a long-range weapon to engineers whereas P90 adds another SMG.
Personally i prefer P90 anyway cos i don't like auto shotguns but MP7 just adds more to it's kit than the P90 does.

The sweet sweet irony in all of this is that the SMGs are all the same, statistically speaking. Same deviation, ROF, damage.
But yeah, MP7. An engy shouldn't be traveling alone anyway.

For one, don't worry, you will get both unlocks on your next promotion.
Aside from that, don't even bother having to choose. They both are spray-n-pray weapons, and bad ones at that. They're mainly short-distance weapons, at which both auto-shotguns are better served for use. I'd say stick with the shotguns, and whip out the pistol for long range kills.
