BF2S Forums Kark is the Best Map Ever... and here's why

karkand is one of the maps that make me reach for the escape key now a days. Its not bf2 to me, its just one big Unreal Tournament Style Deathmatch, complete with excessive bunny hoppin. Not that the Unreal games are bad mind you, but it just doesnt work with the whole Battlefield ethos for me. Give me Dragon Valley, Zatar Wetalnds and Fushe Pass any day of the week

Thanks for noticing.  The problem is that no 64 man kark game lasts 26 minutes. LOL I guess I'll have to play another map some day... ::sigh::

Sharqi and Karkand both kick major ass... I dunno which is better, but probs Karkand.

The most voted maps of all time, sharqi, karkand & mastuur, tht doesnt mean 2 say thats every1s opinion...
bunny hoppin & spawn camping r the worst crimes EVER in bf2, THANK GOD THAT U CANT SHOOT WHILE JUMPING IN EF (YES!!!) in mastuur its a killing ground with the blk hwk, its very unfair..
they could add shoulder mounted stinger missiles to the anti tank kit and then i could forgive the mp5 fr its shittiness.
same reason (sort of) for sharqi, but the tanks & hoppers are just as bad.
karkand isnt that bad (if every 1 was equal and played fair, like in the beginning) but (sigh) people just cant play fair anymore, thats why (apart from mashtuur) i have gone away frm these maps.
but id mybe rather have them than those f**king chinese maps!

Only for you because you need some skill past the karkand usual of 'mash space bar, fire gun, mash space bar, fire gun, die and start again'.

And besides, Karkand is a fucking eye sore

Constantly Vote to Change the Map to "Strike at Karkand" - This is singlehandedly the greatest map in the history of anything. The game developers should've released Battlefield 2 with only this map, and named the game "Battlefield Karkand." There's absolutely no reason to play any other map, unless of course you have some brain disorder which prevents you from making well informed decisions. Strike at Karkand has everything; tanks, buildings, jeeps, trash dumpsters, and a train. A GODDAMN TRAIN!!! Plus there are plenty of rooftops for snipers to climb and perch on for countless hours, until mom gets home and starts complaining about the bathroom being on fire.

I played Karkand a lot lately. I prefer to command for USMC at the mounted MG by the assets. I need time on Ground Defense and it's the only mehtod to gain a lot of points while on it

Karkand is a good map, but I WISH they would make a similar map with no armour or artillery

Kark kicks ass man, even more so with an APC btw sweet sig man

I played a 64 Karkand map the other day. It was miserable. There were Spawncampers everywhere. I decided to leave the foirst point and attack on asecond front. I attacked there for a while, got bored, went back to the first point, which had been taken over but taken back by us. I spawned, and the same two APCs were there!

It'd not good if you're on the MEC team, but fairly fun when you're USMC. I got a terrible score when MEC the first round, (five kills, eleven deaths,) but got a Bronze Star the second round on USMC.

It's true you don't get bombarded by Jets or Choppers, but that also means you have less tools at your disposal to get rid of those tanks and APCs.

Karkand seems to be that hangout of GLers galore. That's why I am playing SF more and more, there are really few GL-whores, they're all playing Karkand.

Interestingly enough, at my icafe the other day when I was waiting for my game to load, I watched a Karkand n00b-tuber in action. he spawned always as Assault, and switched immediatly to GL, and didn't change it the entire time. I saw him jumping around, and he got a good kill/suicide, but other then that, killed himself more than anyone else, and looked and sounded like he wasn't having a good time. He was getting kills, but always dying.
Stupid git, I'd love to catch him out in the open with a good line of sight to give him a few pointers on using bullets.

Euroforce has a great wall map, hopefully abit like Karkand... close combat is cool, its why I play Wake a shitload.

I like Kark because its got lots of action.  I do hate it when people camp/whore in armor.  I dont even care much about the points/stats...but in Kark i can rack up 100+ points every round.  I LOVE it when I get most teampoints and combat points in one round by not using armor or vehicles.  If i get SF soon I predict that I will rack up 200 points IAR occasionally because I am awesome with the G36E.
