Anyone else see the blue angels on the 23rd??

just wondering if anyone else went to see the Blue Angels (i dont remember the name of the place, somewhere in rode island) on the 23rd?
i went with my dad and my grandfather, who is a huuuge naval aviation fan, since he used to serve in the NAVY

all i can say is that it was awsome!
the power of those jets is simply amazing, and how the pilots can do the sort of things that they do with them is mindblowing

i mean, they are flying within FEET of eachother. its insane!

also, i made a short video from clips that i took while at the airshow

there is some pretty cool stuff in the vid, just watch it its short

the most insane part tho, was when the stunt plane was going straight up and it just stopped, and started to hover with its nose up
it hovered for a few minutes, id never seen ANYTHING like that in my life before, soo awsome

and yes, i did get that part in the video

anyone else like the blue angels, or was at that airshow?

that was the first airshow id ever gone to, and now i wanna go to more!!

i hope there is a helicopter airshow of some sort, that be ILL

i fucking LOOOOVE helicopters, its my lifes dream to become a littlebird pilot for the nightstalkers, tho im never ever gonna be one

Nice pictures, nice video. Looks like you had some decent gear with you when you went there.

I see the Red Arrows flying around quite a few times, especially when there are events going on around London (particularly Wembley Stadium events)

I mean it's not my cup of tea (i prefer real deal jets) but it's still nice.

eh, not really any "nice gear", just my 2 year old digital camera lol

i would have gotten a lot more footage of more of the really cool stuff they had, but most of the time i was to awestruck to actually use my camera

the very best part of the ENTIRE show tho, was when fat albert, that huge cargo plane in my first post, took off using 8 JATO rockets

it was insane, the plane was just started to go off the airstrip when the rockets kicked in, and i kid you not, the thing went almost STRAIGHT up! it was simply mindblowing. the rockers were all purple and everything, and it was soooo loud. and when the rockets stopped, the plane was about 300 feet in the air, and it only traveled about 100 feet forward, and right when the rockers stopped, it just started to fly forward.

it was INSANE. basically a vertical takeoff

god, i wish i had it on film

Edit: i found a video of it!
this isnt the airshow i went to, but it did the exact same thing

ok, so maybe my 300 feet and 100 feet estimates were a bit off, but w/e
