Everything on low but effects + geometry + view distance (all on full) @ 1024x1280. on 64 player servers 40FPS. Not nearly as good as it sounds. Fucking disappointed.

I've got a mediocre rig sitting on my desk, the components are:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (1.8 GHz, stock)
nVidia GeForce 7900GT 256mb (PCI-e x16)
2GB DDR2 memory
320GB SATA II hard drive

Performance is decent, I run acceptably well at 1280x1024xHigh.  The only severe weak point of the rig is Windows Vista (Home Premium 32-bit, if it matters).  My old computer was XP Home-based, of course it sucked but surprisingly I hardly ever got crashes to desktop.  Vista seems to see it as a wasted opportunity if it doesn't cause BF2 to crash at least once a night.

Also if you're gonna saddle yourself with Vista on a new rig (to play Halo 2, at least that's the only reason I can see for choosing it over XP), don't buy a GeForce 7900 or 7950, there's a known bug that'll render the display unintelligible every time you Alt-Tab or change resolutions/AA.  I know of that problem personally
