Ok so I just watched the movie Sicko. I know our health system sucks big time here in the USA. Heres my Question ..In the movie they show the UK and Canada being so damn good and free. Is it ????? Please be honest.
Yeah its free in the uk,but by working you pay national insurance and tax which pays for the health service.
Its not as good as private as there is waiting list for certain non life threatin things.
Or operations there are waiting lists.
Its probally not as good as private but alot cheaper,as you would have to pay tax and NI and then pay for your private healthcare.

Would a system that is being used in Canada work in the United States considering we have a larger population, more gap between rich and poor, and illegals?
The way it works,is the more you earn the more tax and NI you pay.trippy982 wrote:

So the poorer person would play less but recieve the same treatment. To recieve help you have to have a national insurance number,so not be illegal imigrant or you will not be helped unless life threatining.
It works but alot of people come to the uk seeing that the healthcare is free, it is in a sence but will *have* to pay for it, there is no choice not too, unless you are payed cash and not on the books.
