OK, I am moving out of my own apartment in the next couple of days and am moving into a smaller place. I am going to have my own room and I'm not going to let strangers use my computer or $1500 plasma.

I have a HTPC hooked onto mine, its fine despite what 'LCD fanbois' will tell you.
Just a note if you're pissing about with resolutions: Just because its a HDTV doesn't mean the computer input is capable of a full 1280x720@60 or 1920x1080@30.
Crappy first gen (it has VGA ffs) Still it shits over LCD.

I'll sometimes hook my PC up to my 42 plasma. Its great if you have a few friends around, but too much of an hassle for day to day computing. And the res on my 20 inch screen is anyhow the same
