That's just another fairy tale from the Bible. You can be religious and at the same time believe in science. There are many people in these forums who believe in both.Im_Dooomed wrote:
Does it make sense to anybody that as the world was created and creatures evolved slowly that at the point where primitive man came about, God sent down supreme beings that had perfect form (Adam and Eve) ? And then at this point they created The Garden of Eden for the two to live in?
The next step in Gods "Divine" plan was to have Adam and Eve (Our superior beings in this example) to mate with each other to have loads of off-spring. And then those off-spring, when at the right age, will mate with the primitive humans to advance the species very quickly...Thus giving the races a higher intelligence and greater capabilities?
At least thats how the primitive man took a major step in their evolutions and all animals and other creatures just evolve naturally without any intervention. Just a theory...Or maybe thats how its been written in the holy texts...I've never read any of them
Null vote: neither fail. Both have their bad points, but both can be credited for advancements here and there.sergeriver wrote:
Most Religions have a message of peace and they teach to love and respect other people. Let's take the three Abrahamic Religions. Two of them even share the same book, The Old Testament. The Qu'ran itself quotes a lot of things from the Bible, and Jesus is one of the three most important characters for Islam. This talks about common origins.
Do Religions fail? Or is mankind which fails to act accordingly to the teachings of any religion? I personally don't follow any religion, but I respect people who do. 1) But, how many people really follow these teachings? How many of them respect other people? How Many Religious People Live by "the rules" and honor their Faith? 2) Are Religions the ones to blame for the never ending conflicts between Arabs and Jews? 3) Is Christianism the one to blame for the ethnic cleansing of native Americans (not only in the US, but also Aztecs, Mayas, Incas, etc)? 4) Or do men use religions as an excuse to commit these crimes?
