Can someone verify that this is correct? Please note: Installing 4GBs of RAM onto PCs with Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Operating Systems is not advised since 32-bit operating systems do not support 4GBs of system memory. We recommend clicking BACK and selecting 2GBs of system memory or changing your operating system to a 64-bit version. If you decide to continue with 4GBs of system memory it will not hurt but you will not be able to address it all. You probably will not be able to address much more than 3GB, and you might not be able to address more than 2GB. yup, thats right
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Cool, thanks.
And are there any serious compatibility issues with 64-bit vista with other programs? Compared to compatibility problems with the 32 bit version.

not really. Unless I'm terribly wrong 16 bit apps won't work (but you probs don't have any) and there might be driver issues with some really weird (and usually old) hardware. Might be worth the time to check if you can find drivers for everything you need

Well, I'm getting a new rig. So I'm assuming that all the newer components have drivers for Vista.max wrote:

true. Maybe you had an old TV card or something you wanna use. Or printer/scanner drivers. That sort of thingliquidat0r wrote:

Hmm, good point.
I'll check for drivers for my peripherals. Printer/Mouse/Keyboard/Web-cam/Scanner.

I know for a fact that 32 bit O/S's do not support 4 gigs.
