In order to get the almost impossible war college ribbon, I came across this idea :

well your win / lose rate must be 3:1 but that does not depend on you, and that sucks.
How about entering a server and being on the losing team, with 30 credits to go vs. 200??
Of course you can try switch team but ya know what happens....
How about being the best player in your team and being surrounded by n00bs??
Sometimes there's nothing you can do, you can give your very best and still lose.
I would like the game to feature some kind of compensation to good players like :

- 3 losses removed every gold medal awarded (need 4 consecutive medals)

- 2 losses removed every silver medal awarded (need 4 consecutive medals)

- 1 loss removed every bronze medal awarded (same thing)

- 1 loss removed every 2 categories your name features on the best section screen at the end of game

Stuff like that ya know?

Also that ribbon is commanding-related. How about rewarding the commander badges with more wins or something like that. I try so hard heading for that ribbon, I love commanding....

something like that can be kinda cool. i hate it when i get 150 points or more and everyone else has less than 80 on both side and my team still loses.

yeah, that's why I thought of that!

I think EA's gotta do something, because sometimes winning or losing is not ours to control.

Bad idea - BF2 is a game of teamwork. Spend the whole game getting points and not helping the effort, but your whole team doesn't have their shit together? You still lose.

This will only promote more self-indulgent stat whoring.

Playing to win the map and playing to increase your score is not always the same thing. Most of the time it should have an impact, but it is not the be all end all.

OP: Who cares if you don't get one ribbon or a certian type of badge. Changing the reliablity of the stats recorded for win/loss would be the WORST way to deal with it. If they wanted to make the WC ribbon easier to get, they would only need to reduce the requirements.

I think it's a good idea, some stuff is really hard to get. It's teamwork for sure, and I'm into teamwork but when half your team whores and stat pads, is that your fault??? when you lose round 15 seconds after you joined the server, is that your fault?? I'm talking about the things that are not your fault.
I'm glad EA rewards individual effort, individual numbers and stats, but you can't enter the minds of your temmates to force them to play fairly and try to win. Wish I could...
You get lost rounds and it's not your fault, you might have given your very best for the team, reviving, resupplying, repairing and all that, but it's clear when there is teamwork and when there is not.

You get lost rounds and it's not your fault, you might have given your very best for the team, reviving, resupplying, repairing and all that, but it's clear when there is teamwork and when there is not.
Then maybe you should consider playing with a clan or on a regular server. You complain that sometimes you lose and you can't help it, but EVERYONE experiences that! You're not always on the losing end.

If you want a TEAM WIN stat, shouldn't the TEAM have to win it?

I play on regular servers ... and my clanmates usually play at different times.... I'll keep on trying. Anyway I still think it's a good idea.
