BF2 won't start!!

Hey everyone...well when I tried to start BF2 today, for some reason my computer (instead of starting the game) restarted itself. By restart I mean turn off immediately and boot up. Ya..so does anyone know why this is happening?

hmmm, this has happened to me before (not w/BF2 though) the only thing i can think of is it re-install, i don't know WHY it happens, but yeah

Seriously, does it only do it with BF2?

or with other programs as well?

Did you update any drivers recently?

If it is only BF2, I would do a proper uninstall.

Then a Reg scrub.

Then reinstall.

Don't forget the patches.

Em i also have a prob with bf2

I recently bought a pc with vista on it.When I start bf2 everything seems to be ok(main menu,intro,accounts etc) but if I try to run a map it crashes back to desktop.Anyone know whats the prob?karma for GUD answers

Un-install Vista ------> Install XP Pro

Right click on you BF2 desktop icon and run as administrator, works for me.

I havn't got vista, but maybe you can use the XP method of running games as Win98. Right click on the shortcut, and select compatibility mode to WinXP.

This is assuming Vista has that option. Good luck.

lol u smartasses Im just trying to find a quicker and easier way to play my favourite game...xp wud be my choice if nuffin worked,so no karma 4 your greedy arses!
