question guys: i've was checking the "lag tips" topic and it said to rename the bf2 folder for better performance and it is working better now. But xfire doesnt work ingame now. It says bf2 isnt installed and i totally understand why, its searching the bf2.exe but i renamed it. So what i want to know is, how to make xfire work again so i will receive ingame messages and dont have to alt+tab.

Oh, is that the thing where you name BF2 like "BF21.exe" ? If so, just redirect your BF2.exe on XFire to BF21.exe - look on the help page and you should find out how.

In XFIRE- > Tool - > Options -> Games -> Click BF2 and then click Manual Setup, Click browse, and then tell it where it is.

EDIT- no im wrong... but i did do it before... still looking

Go to Tools > Options > Games > Click on Battlefield2 in the games list > Click the Manual Setup Option > Change the game path to the correct one
