Hi ,

i experienced a very strange bug:

I play on any server some maps when i get disconnected with the message that i run a "modded game".
this happens arbitrary, and a restart of BF2 nor restarting my PC doesnt help.

but i dont have a mod installed but the SF addon.

its very strange. it happens with servers i often play on and dont have this problem then.

(hope u understand my problem - sorry for my bad english )

any ideas or suggestions?

edit :

another strange thing i figured last few weeks is  that i keep walking even i release the keys and i cant do anything (change direction, prone or look around with mouse). i just have to wait my keyboard is reacting again and hope that i dont get killed .

Anyway what are you comp stats and your net connection?

Reinstal patch 1.12 is the suggestion I got. Worked for me.

Amd Athlon 2000+ (1.7GHz)
1024 MB RAM
Gforce 6600GT 128MB

playing on 1MBit DSL w/o fastpath

first i thought that the keyboard problem is caused by the lag, but it happens with a ping <100 too.

The "modded game" issue is very strange :
Yesterday i played with my mates on "The Real Snipers" server on Mashtuur 2 rounds. After this Karkand was loaded and i got this stupid error again.
How it could be that the server let me log in first and after a map load i got kicked cause of this strange bug?!
On the other hand i played several maps on this certain server last week - no such bug than.

Is your keyboard cordless?  If so, try changing the batteries and/or moving the receiver as it sounds like something's interfering with it.

Ive gotten the same message and its more like this for me.

"this server does not allow modified content please revert to the original version "

Well crap the only thing i have is whatever EA put on my DVD and whatever EA put into the patch.

I uninstalled and re installed the game and the latest patch and that seemed to do the trick but no guarantees.
