For the people too intelligent to click the link:

"Those who seek to deliberately kill or maim innocent people are the enemies of us all," said Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, secretary-general of the moderate Muslim Council of Britain."

"Speaking at a news conference at the MCB's east London headquarters, Bari said there was "no cause whatsoever" to justify the attempted bomb attacks in central London early Friday and at Glasgow airport on Saturday afternoon."

"Those who engage in such murderous actions and those that provide support for them are the enemies of us all, Muslims and non-Muslims, and they stand against our shared values in the United Kingdom," he added.

Bari and his deputy Daud Abdullah expressed their shock that up to six of the eight people in custody were medical doctors.

"As we have stated in the past, terrorism is not a regional nor a national matter. Neither does it have a profession or class,"Abdullah told AFP as the MCB called on all Britons to help the police and the security services.

So much for the "Islamic Republic of the UK".
This is the same as a Corporation doing wrong then sending out the mailroom grunt to apologize. Sorry, not enough.
No, it's absolutely nothing like that. But since you seem to like to put things into analogy's, a better one might be it's like McDonalds apologising because one of it's employees killed some people whilst wearing a McD's shirt.
Good analogy if McDonald's had a sign which read "Over 50000000 billiion converted"

How is that relevant?

That's almost completely unrelated, talk about tangents.

Lemme see if I can clarify how this game works.

First premise is "Muslims don't speak out against their own extremists."

When the response shows that a decent number of high-profile Muslims do, the second premise is "They don't do it enough". The second premise sets an arbitrary (and never defined) point at which the amount of Muslims speaking out against their own extremists redeems Islam as a whole. The really fun part of the game is when you bring up the lack of overwhelming Christian response against abortion clinic bombers, those who murder abortion providers and people who bash homosexuals and those of other races citing "God" as their reason, the response is "Well those aren't true Christians, so we don't have to denounce them.". Usually this is followed by some half-assed wanna-be theology student assuring you that Islam sanctions wholesale murder while Christianity doesn't, as if the god of the Old Testament actually resigned his post in favor of the New Testament one.

Personally, I don't usually get involved in this game, since for one it's ultimately pointless and secondly I don't really get along well with any of the patriarchal, repressive and close-minded monotheisms involved. But, it's always good to know what the rules of the game are before you decide to ante up. You're welcome.

I'd have to say that most people do not blame the majority of Muslims for the actions of a few.

Wrong. My best friend at school is Muslim. Don't start stereotyping when you yourself are condemning it.
damn right people are individuals they have minds and have free will to think....most do. but its also human nature to group people and label them.

Post has merit, I too have many Muslim friends, who are really great people, however, they do express frustration that many Islamic leaders do NOT do enough to curb extremists.

Too bad this isn't the norm.  We need more vocal Muslim groups denouncing terrorism.  I would hope ALL the major news outlets report this with the same furor they report a terrorist bombing.

It is the norm. I see it happening all the time. You're just watching/reading news from the wrong sources.
