yes its possible, release your bombs whilst going upward, then do a backwards loop and fly into the falling bomb

I'm pretty sure once I flew into a stall I released my bombs and they blew up in mid air.

Just flying upside down doesn't produce the same results as in 1942, though. They fall directly through the plane.

I've jumped out of a plane once after releasing bombs and physically hit one of the bombs... Does that count? lol.

I released the bombs as i was flying relatively straight up, looped back down and hit at least one on the way back up. Didnt do too much damage really, one dumb bomb from a bomber is relatively weak.

those retarding bombs are the 3rd most powerful weapon in the game. first being the laser guided missle, second being the TV guided missle.

I had an unlucky bombing run on kubra, hitting an antenna with my bombs, and the blast radius blew up my plane (!).
though I HAVE actually hit myself with the bombs one time during a dogfight when I accidentally released my bombs instead of using my MG, about 2 sec later I had reversed direction and hit something exploding mid air. As I was almost out of bounds and just got the "is no more message", I can only assume that either there's a new type of bird that's VERY explosive in the game, or I hit one of the bombs I released. I checked and it WASN'T the enemys jet I hit... He was still "in front" of me at the time.

Just another reason to use the jet for Air-to-Air combat. I pretty much suck at bombing with it. I doubt I have more than 10-15% of my jet kills as bombing kills, and those are all from flying a bomber (!). Untill I saw the stunt video a while ago, I thought I was the only one who had managed to bomb myself successfully. Now I know I'm just foolish enough to do with careless ease what it takes ohers LOTS of practice to do

Whiel flyying upward, tilt your joystick slighty back you go backwards (while flying directly up) so you are at a slant. Than, when the bombs release, they immediatly run into you.

hehe back in 1942 days you could take the german Stuka bomber, take of on EL alamien fly over to the East flag, fly high go in a loop, drop your bombs while you are at the top , dive and hit you bombs just over flag point   or try take the spirtfire, fly upside down, drop a bomb go puff.

If you play BF 1.0 you can make jeeps stunts of another world manhiem bridge, FF:off pack your jeep with explosive, drive your jeep of the cliff from Allied uncap, blow the ex pack see the jeep fly over half the map.
