The movement in BF2 has already been nerfed to hell since it was released, stop trying to make it worse.
and for damn sakes LEAVE BF2 alone. bf2 is a game and its not meant to be realistic even on the PR site says "Battlefield will always be first about fun and secondly about realism. Realism implies complexity."
So C-J... hey man your right when you say dolphin diving is "RIDICULOUS" but by god why the hell does my tank never run out of gas? why does it when i fall 3 meters i don't break a leg? why don't i bleed when i get shot? hey holding a rifle is hard work! Jezz its a game! you want a war simulator?
GO play airsoft or even better join the army and shot some jihadist in the outback of iraq but LEAVE BF2 alone.

this is the same game where you can plummet 2000 feet into the ocean and not get hurt...
stop complaining.
besides, going prone makes them easier to hit, just strafe so they cant hit you...

It's weird but I've played this game for 2 years and I never had a problem with the dolphin divers. Maybe your aiming just suck plain and simple?C-J... wrote:
BF2 is supposed to be as realistic as possible, without taking away the "fun" of an arkade-shooter.
Exactly HOW would this game be less fun if they ade it more realistic, in the sense that you can´t throw yourself and shoot in midair, and then keep shooting when you land, and all of this with your aim being as still as if you were laying down with bipods out?
Which takes me to another question.. the sights are 100% still at all time, not even the best marksmen in the world can keep them absoluteky still if they arent laying down... and even then it would move slightly.
MORE REALISM FFS!!
This is a childsgame, and I´m 30 years old. I do want AAO with vehicles, that would be amazing.
Oh and if it's a childs game, just GTFO.

It´s the most unrealistic and laughable part of an already unrealistic and arkadish game.
Throwing your self on the ground when facing an opponant in close quarters, and more often than not shooting before you even landed, and the worst part... the aim isn´t wobbly AT friggin ALL.
Try using a scope, jog forward, throw yourself on the ground as fast as you can while shooting at a moving target. Do you aim aswell as normal?
NO!
Does your weapon/aim go ballistic when you hit the ground due to the mere impact?
HELL YEAH!
Has any soldier in the history done this, and been successful?
NO!
Only someone mentally challenged would even try this.
When you face an enemy in an open area, you shoot as fast as you can - standing up. Some people might try to go crouched if the distance is too far, in order to be stedier on the hand, but noone dives to the friggin ground, that would leave them helpless and they would´nt be able to aim for a good second & a half after hitting the ground = they would DIE.
Dive for cover is one thing, diving in order to aim better in close range is just ridiculous.
Long range I get, but short range.
RIDICULOUS!
lol k ill take out dve shootng in teh nxt ptch.
The devs have probably long since abandoned BF2.

Because a computer game will never be "realistic and less simplified" because the "real world" is complicated. Personally i feel bad for ya for being flamed from others here but you have to admit no computer will be "realistic" as RL.C-J... wrote:

ok i admit the only reason why i went into airsoft was because i was so into battlefield 2 so much i believed i will pwn in airsoft because i pwn in bf2. well guess what?
RL is complicated:
-my metal airsoft mp5 was getting heavy over time
- i forgot to take off the safety before i shoot,
- my magazines jammed
- fubble in trying to get my magazine in the smg
-my googles fogged up
- I trip on my own boots
- I trip over a log
- I trip over foilage
-I trip over a "dead" guy
- holding the mp5 like "bf2/cs style" did jack shit because there is no crosshair
- i forgot i had empty magazines because..... hey there is NO HUD to tell me how many bullets i have in my magazine!
- need to reload my bbs one by one into my magazine while being shot at.
- my cheap ass 14 dollars red dot scope got shot off my railing
- clothing made me itchy and sweaty and uncomfortable
- and finally i actually felt scared because there is a goddamn sniper who always goes for "head shots" and its HURTS when you get a bb in the cheek
In bf2 and most fps your "gun/crossfire" is "bolted" on the screen its does not have the cability of a flowing human movement. No bf2 is not suppose to be realistic not when you got a mouse and keyboard for "controls"
don't get me wrong it would be way cool to have all those things i describe above in a video game but no bf2 is FINE as its.
let me tell you this when that "realistic computer game" that you wish and love so much comes out....... I hope you will to virtually reload each goddamn 9mm in your magazine while your buddies give covering fire plus your all low on ammo. <<<<< HARDCORE and INTENSE.

As far as I'm concerned, any movement whatsoever is considered an exploit do to the shit hit lag.

No, 1.2 was alright. Thanks to people like him we got 1.3. Yay, no more super-PKM, no more squad-hopping, no more I don't know, some other "exploit" that doesn't need to be nerfed, but now my game crashes every 10 minuets and the fucking server crashes every other round, losing all the points for that round.legionair wrote:

the most un realistic part of the game is dropping a bag on the ground and getting 4 more grenades
What if the bag contained 4 grenades??Someone025 wrote:

Ok. You want realism? Go, buy the game. Spend 20 minutes installing it and about an hour getting the patches. Go through the tutorial and learn all the keys. Pracitce with the vehicles. Find a server, and play a round. Now, the first time you die, exit out of the game, uninstall the game from your computer, and throw it away.C-J... wrote:

Want to play again? Go to the store, and buy the game...
The point is that there is no realism in a combat style game without a severe fear of loss (aka, your LIFE) or high stakes on the table. Second, combat is only a small portion of a soldiers day, albeit an (for lack of a better word) exciting part. No one wants to play a video game of CLEANING your weapon. (ohhhh, track down that grit and carbon buildup for that uber pipe cleaner unlock!)
It is a game. Realism and gameplay have to be carefully balanced. That is also why the jets are a piece of frigging cake to fly in BF2. You want realism, just add operator activated landing gear, flaps, realistic stall speeds, grey/red outs, and actually having to land to rearm. I am sure you could make a game that has so many commands that it feels hyper-realistic. Now you just have to get people to want to invest the time to learn to play it.
Why not make the game as realistic as possible, without harming the fun of it? Excluding a sheapshot move who has nothing to do with real life, would make everyone forced to act like they would´ve in real life.agent146 wrote:

Exactly what is wrong with the setup they use in AAO, it´s the best game til date when it comes to realism and still has way better infantrybattles. AAO was made using real life soldiers as intel (while BF2 watched Steven Segal movies), and since they know that bunnyhopping and diveshooting isn´t possible/doable they didn´t include it in the game. How would BF2 be less fun if they took out these laughable parts? Alot of you have gotten use to these glitches and exploit them whenever you can, but I bet you could relate to the game a hell of a lot more, if you know it was built on realism atleast to an extent.
BTW, sniping in BF2 takes no skill what so ever. Just point and shoot.
They should use the aao-snipingsetup. There it actually takes skill.
Que the third "then go play aao instead you whiner" comment.
