I believe godesses are regular in Nepal. They are removed from status when they reach teenage years for being unclean, so the whole ordeal is rather ordinary.Liberal-Sl@yer wrote:

1) Is the whole living godess thing even sensible?
2) Was she right to take the oppritunity and defiy tradition?
3) If she is the living godess why the fuck is it so easy to jsut remove her?

Unclean? I thought it was unholy to defile a 'goddess'.jonsimon wrote:

EDIT: I mean, it would probably be fun, but still, that's toying with death to them.

True, but he is treated more like a god than a mere prophet (by some).cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:

Jesus - was he not 'the son of god'?DesertFox- wrote:

Is the 'son of god' not god-like?
Oh, and I've just thought of another - Buddhism.
Hmm... is there any religion where this isn't the case?
Jesus was not "a normal person" as in the claim, so a son of God would not qualify as normal in such a day and age. For the latter question, look up Voodoo or Shintoism or one of those things
That's debatable.DesertFox- wrote:

I'm not sure Voodoo is classed as a religion as such. But Shinto, yeah, that's one.DesertFox- wrote:

When they are old enough to have children they are unclean, not neccesarily because they have committed the act.some_random_panda wrote:

How isn't everyone athiest by now?
At least they can revoke it, look at how most people treat Paris Hilton. People wouldn't dare of declassifying her as a Celebrity or whatever. It's practically the same shit. When will everyone realise that we're not so Different. Well ok, the people here might be, but "Western" people in general aren't really different.
Oh yeah, and i'm the son of God. Bitches. Bow down to me or i'll zap you like in Surgeons sig. However, if you come after me in an angry mob and nail me to some wood, that'll do me in.
As God said:
"The humans started with a small nail on a small piece of wood, soon enough, they will create a nail and a board so large, they will destroy the universe"
Real words.

1) Its their culture. Is it sensible to have kids dress up as ghosts/witches/vampires/spĂder-man etc and go around the neighborhood demanding candy every October?Liberal-Sl@yer wrote:

2) Its her life, she made her choice.
3) Thats the problem with living goddesses. They are LIVING human beings.

I don't think it's like that (but i'm not an expert on Nepalese tradition). Besides there are probably alot more pedophiles in this here hemisphere of the world.mullahmarine2005 wrote:

What do I win by doing so? What sort of improvements will that make? I'd bet everyone would be agnostic if it was all based on possibility.PureFodder wrote:
