complete waste of money, second only to alienware (who happen to be owned by Dell)
I dont have a dell or would buy one, I just am comparing value of the threadstarters ultimate system to the Dell xps although its dell its a good deal I would go with falcon northwest like I stated before
I have had a look and yes its TOTALLY overpriced. Why buy a $1600 dvd writer?? It had better be Gold and Platinum Plated for that price.
The most expensive doesnt always mean the best.

Did you just go through and find the most expensive and worthless crap? I can build you a computer just as good as that for even cheaper.
By the way.
AMD is made for gaming and cheaper.

lol you're living in the past if you think AMD still reigns for gaming.
"Ultimate"? I could spend $25,000 on memory alone.
Intel owns AMD right nowPsychoKillers wrote:

Sorry to burst your bubble my dear but THIS is not the ultimate pc...even tho its pretty nice.
Go to Alienware. Same thing for $20k US.
Plus, there are some places in Aus that can do that for $4-5k. I got mine for $3k.

It should have the Logitech G7 instead of the G5.
Just Remember...
A - The NZ PC Market is ABSOLUTE CRAP compared to many other countries...stuff is ridiculously expensive.
B - Yes Half the stuff has been super ceded, not in NZ tho, thats the best stuff we've got. (IE TITLE SHOULD READ "ULTIMATE NZ PC")
C- The 1600 DVD Writer is an HD-DVD + BLU RAY WRITER (which has only just been released in NZ, hence the price)
D - No I didn't find the most expensive and worthless crap (maybe when i was 13 lol) but that is seriously the best stuff NZ has to offer.
(Ok monitor is pretty crap, would rather spend upwards of 5k on HD Projector; makes for good movie watching, oh and while I'm at it I'll just go spend 20k on a Home Theatre Setup...)
E - Of course nobody would be stupid enough to pay that much, or even consider paying that much for that sort of computer! (For those of you who thought that was what I was getting at...well...go jump in a lake.)
F - Dell is crap
G - Intel FTW!!!111
That is all

Only 4GB RAM?
Only a 22" LCD?
Quad Core > Dual Core
It might not be as fast, but the ability to allocate cores to jobs is in high use now. So I can do 4 things. You can only do 2!
