Is it sad that I get most of my news updates from BF2s?

I'm not sure if this belongs in D&ST or Junk Drawer, but I was thinking about this today...

I get most (almost all, actually) of my news updates from this website. I can't remember the last time I checked cnn.com or msnbc.com. I only check msn.com for the sports updates and random stories about random things.

Why?

Well, as you all know, we have a plethora of users here, many of whom have differing opinions on things, and many (most) of the important happenings in the world are not only covered, but discussed. So not only do I get the stories, but I get the public reaction as well.

But...really...is it such a bad thing that my main source of current events news is bf2s.com?

like you said not only do you get the story, but you get to hear what people you are familiar with, think about it.

in fact, i look at this as finding unbiased news.....why?
well when someone posts a story, we hear ALL sides. not just what they tell us.....most of the time, you can tell what really happened by the end of it.

Dude, you can't start a story like that and then not tell us why you were in jail!

EDIT: As for the OP, I do read the news at the BBC, but I find out more info by reading all the articles posted from a variety of sources on here.

I read the newspaper every morning and I watch the news multiple times a day. And I sometimes read some of the topics here.

Do you really never open up a newspaper or turn on the TV and watch CNN?

Half the links people post don't work. Fox news website hasn't worked for me in months, this place would be the last place i check for news because of that one thing. It's why i always ask people who post topics to quote the damn article instead of going "hay guyz chek dis" and posting a link and that's it.
