i'll be heading to the USMC next december...or the army...officers school..havent decided which branch yet.
My dad served 30 years as a Marine so my vote is a little impartial.

US Army. Great equipment, great training (Special Forces!!), and from what I hear great people.

Royal British Army, being Irish, i'm a little impartial, and i view the UK forces as being, soldier to soldier against the US forces, better trained. The weakness in the UK military comes not from the troops, but from the politicians running the show.
Given better funding & supply, particularly in Navy and RAF R&D, i have confidence that the British Forces would be the most superior in terms of skill in the world.
Side note, The SAS kick arse.
