A 3 year old isn't old enough to have cognative memories. Any emotional trauma that the child might have would come from other things. Sure, she is slightly disfigured, but luckily she's a little girl. Long hair can hide the ear. Not being callous, just practical. Sure, she might try to blame things that go wrong in her life on this incident, but, psychologically speaking, she can indeed grow up just fine. If the fucker gets jail time he will be killed. That is the one thing you never want to go to prison for, because as soon as the other inmates find out that you hurt/abused/molested a child you will die.
