Question about the Samsung 226BW monitor

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this monitor, but are the VGA and DVI ports used independently?
I want to link my computer (with DVI) and Xbox 360 (VGA) to this monitor at the same time is this possible?

I'm not sure if the KVM Switch works with consoles and systems. Check it out, all the same.

I have it and I think you can because you can switch between analog and digital with a little button on the right
I'm not sure if that switches between VGA and DVI but I'm guessing thats what its for
