I think it is incredibly childish and xenophobic to create 'fake' interviews to portray what you perceive as their reasons for coming here.  Maybe even ignorant for actually thinking this could be real.
Maybe you should watch more of the illegal Mexican rallys that occur regularly in the border states. This sort of nonsense comes from illegals mouths all of the time, hence the reason why it is somewhat believable to me.
Maybe growing up and living my entire life less than 100 miles from the Mexican border gives me better insight then you?  Maybe I have been to some of the protests and actually agree with some grievances they have?  I don't agree with people coming across the border illegally, but not because I am xenophobic or I am worried that I might hear some Spanish when I'm at the store.  I don't like the idea of illegal immigration because people spend thousands of dollars and countless hours becoming legal immigrants.  Not because I think Mexicans are less intelligent, lazy, or afraid to assimilate, like it seems a lot of people here think.

While ^^^ calls it undetermined, I believe the fact the reporter hasn't worked for the station in years and the station itself says no interview like that occurred is proof enough that it is false.

So do I just disregard all of the Mexicans I have personally come across that have this same dumbshit idea that they own part of the US? Its not as unrealistic as it may sound. Maybe I should go down to the home depot over here and ask around...

In High school, as part of the student gov't we had to listen to some asshat who wanted to give an assembly @ our school  about how we were in 'occupied lands'. Needless to say, he was told no, and to not come back.

Downtown LA this year, same shit. --- Im looking for the news story.

I wont even begin to discuss my experiences in construction.

Its funny how I don't see this sense of entitlement from any other immigrant community.

But thats just my 2c growing up in central LA

I don't think its about xenophobia. For me, its a matter of fairness. And I resent the view that they are 'entitled' to live here. I resent the blatantly racist behavior they bring with them. Sure I sound like an asshole, but then thats my experience for the majority of my life.

Look, all I'm saying is that I have heard plenty of audio bits from immigration rallies that mirrors exactly what was in the OP of this thread. I myself doubt the authenticity of the OP content, but it is still believable. I don't want people coming across illegally cause of identity theft(have first hand experience with this), uninsured motorists, effects to health care system, and rise in crime from those who can't find work. I live in Phoenix in an area that is mostly Hispanic, in fact, 75% of the people that I work with are Hispanic. I'm not some xenophobic upper class white guy who's "worried that [he] might hear some Spanish when [he's] at the store".

Well if Juan and other illegals put as much effort into their own country as they do towards fighting for equality here in the U.S. then Mexico wouldn't be the shithole that it is.

You said it yourself - Its a dumbshit idea.  I have heard someone from MEChA speak, and while the idea is interesting, the fact of the matter is it won't happen.  If after we give the land to them, would they then return it to the indigenous populations they exploited?

What you will notice is that a large number at those protests were LEGAL immigrants, with a much larger beef than simply crackdowns on illegal immigration.  Many rebel/protest against the system, not the laws - you know, the system that looks the other way when employers hire illegals, than cracks down and deports them when a faction expresses displeasure with them.
