The education system in Ireland is horrible, to think they wasted their time trying to do this before learning physics.

But in case they succeed I hope this new energy source is miget friendy, unlike atomic energy

Coming from an engineering background, I'm somewhat skeptical of the claims of these scientists.  Matter is not created or destroyed (okay, so that one might be difficult to prove at a few nanoseconds before and after the big bang), nor does energy appear out of nowhere.  A perpetual motion machine is theoretically impossible.  I say theoretical, because it's not like we've proved it's impossible--yet.

He'd better have his facts straight or the international scientific community will roast him alive and then laugh at his smoldering corpse.
