I'd assume the stock HSF/cooling solutions are fine as long as you aren't doing any overclocking (And have decent airflow in your case). If you do plan to seriously overclock, yes, you're probably going to need an aftermarket cooler.

I've heard a lot of great things about Zalman coolers.

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

Well shove all your stuff in and download speedfan, shows you important temperatures on your system allows your to adjust fan rpm's. I mean if you find out all the normal temperatures your computer should be running at and see that they are exceptionally high then hell a extra fan might help or a super duper fan and heatsink.

Also to note when you first use speedfan you will notice some burning signs ignore these, just default settings. I'm pretty sure someone on this forums knows the healthy idle temperature of your components.

Speedfan is free from all malicious spyware and is a very small program.
HOWEVER IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING DON'T MESS WITH YOUR FAN SETTINGS!
Just use it as a useful tool to monitor key temperatures without needing to enter bios.

As Smithy said stock HSF's are fine for running at normal speeds without overclocking, a good cheap and easy way to improve airflow is one of these just pushes hot air out of your case good to put right next to a hot graphics card to remove the hot air it generates.

That exhaust fan is readily available on ebay and there are many like it. I got that one its says guided missile I really have yet to see any missiles shoot out.

They got other crazy shizney like graphics card cooling kits, personally I wouldn't bother I'm sure your 8800 has got a pretty kick ass cooling system anyway.

It's no problem, it's just funny to hear something like that since adding the -y suffix to names makes it sound somewhat childish. (i.e. my name is Andrew, some people call me Andy. Sounds chilidsh sorta. John ---> Johnny, Jack---->Jacky/Jackie )

Sorry for the derail. Back on track now.

It also depends on which case you use... the bigger the better... the antec 900 is pretty big and it moves a lot of air... the coolermaster stacker 830 is a monster and it has tons of space for fans... its a little expensive though... The 8800 series all run pretty hot...  good luck
