Im not using the one that comes with the case cause I heard bad things about it. But actually maybe for now I well just use the PSU that comes with the case.

Get a better PSU for future proofing.

ok ya I just realized how shitty this PSU is so I am going to go with this one.

Corsair HX520 CMPSU-520HX 520W ATX Triple 12V 40A Continuous 24PIN ATX Modular 120MM Power Supply http://www.ncix.com/products/productdet … ;sku=19832

but other than the PSU well everything work together. And is this system good for a casual gamer like myself?

ya there is different processors but I dont want anything shitty. Do I even need that heatsink? Cause I do not plan on overclocking.

Your case already comes with a 450 W power supply, why would you buy another 400 W one?

Don't get a 4000 series Core 2. The lowest you should ever go is the 6320.

Ever.

srsly.

ok I am going to with the 6320 processor instead of the 4000. Would I need a heatsink/fan on the CPU? I am not planning on over clocking so is it fine the way it is?

eh, of course you need a heatsink!  Are you talking about an aftermarket one?  No, probably not.. I mean it'll keep your system cooler in the end and look neat but you don't have to have one.  You still must use the stock heatsink though...

ok, also I have a question that you guys are going to laugh at me for but do I need a cd-rom drive? Is this a cd-rom drive:
LG 16X Black DVD-ROM 48X CD-ROM IDE UDMA33 INT OEM
http://www.ncix.com/products/productdet … p;sku=8984

Ya I was talking about getting an aftermarket heat sink, but if using the stock on is fine then that all I am going to use.

here is what i would do, if you had the money:

E6420 (you arent overclocking, so i would suggest not going below 2.0 GHz stock)

Gigabyte S3 (i never trusted VIA, every experience ive had with them involved unstability and unneeded hassle. the p965 is a great chipset. P35 or nforce 6 series is newer, but a bit more expensive)

FSP 400W (great company, always has good deals with great quality)

BFG 8800GT OC (the GTS is basically an overclocked GT with some minor features unlocked that dont really matter. i think the GT is a much better value)

Mushkin DDR2 667 2GB (2 x 1GB) (the ones you picked out are great, ive just always been partial to mushkin)

the hard drive, dvd drive, and case you picked out are all fine. and just use the stock intel cooler. you arent overclocking, so you dont need a 3rd party cooler. even the stock intel cooler allows for some pretty darn good overclocks, so it should be more than enough cooling for you.

EDIT: ohh, and no. the LG dvd burner you picked out will read cd's and dvd's. so you dont need a seperate rom drive. and make sure if you decide to go with something other than the LG that its a SATA drive. IDE is dead. SATA is the standard for drive connectivity.

Ok guys, this is where I have been choosing these parts from. I know the price is alittle high and I could get better deals and shit. But I just want to know if what I got here is going to work. Is the mobo ok for this setup? and stuff like that. Thanks
