Hay Guys,

I currently own the Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro Sound Card:

This thing is amazing, mostly because of connectivity options, but also because of the sheer sound quality!

Now my question is this:

Would it be better to keep my current sound card, or buy the basic Creative X-Fi card:

http://www.soundblaster.com/products/pr … &nav=0

The card I have at the moment is great for sound recording with Adobe Audition, I run a line level out from a Mackie mixing desk to record Vox, Drums and Guitar.

My current Card has a latency of 2ms (for multi-layer recording with software playthrough) and is also THX Certified.

As far as I know the X-Fi isn't THX Certified, so I'm wondering if it would be best just to stick with my current sound card???

The Audigy 2 I have used to be the Flagship Soundcard of Creative BTW

So...your thoughts?

be nice

my RECOMMENDATION: buy X-FI music or fatality pro gamer. I have had many audigy series and honestly i didnt thought xfi is better. but when i bought it i was amazed. The sound is at least 20% better than audigy2 zs's. If you are like me, the best sound for your ears, then buy Xfi but not the basic version but at least xfi music. U wil love it!

X-Fi because if (for whatever fucking retarded reason other than DX10), you decide to upgrade to Vista, you won't be completely screwed.

X-Fi has THX software in it so I don't think it wouldn't be THX certified.

X-Fi has better quality.

If you do get one, get the XtremeGamer Fatal1ty cause it's the cheapest model that's worth getting (since they stopped making the XtremeMusic)and it's got X-RAM on it, nothin wrong with that.

I've got the (non Fatality) X-Fi Platinum [no X-Ram] and i'm REALLY happy with it.

Good for music and games (the IO box thing looks cool too )
