A jet pilots mission:

1.  shoot down the enemy jets

2.  Shoot down the enemy choppers

3.  Most importantly, KEEP them down on their airfield.

That allows your ground troops to take flags without annoying choppers/jets bombing you every 2 seconds.  The only thing that annoys me about this, is when both your jets attack the airfield when you need 1 of your jets killing enemy armor and the other keeping their airforce down.

Lol. The wise words from a PRIVATE FIRST CLASS! Noob. It's not hard to shoot down choppers with the cannon without crashing. Also, it's not hard to bomb tanks and kill them in one hit. My point is, why give them a chance to get into those vehicles?
not everyone can be 2nd lieutenant the first day they pick up the freaking game dude. Yeah hes new.. noob how the hell do you know?

Speaking as a clan pilot I await orders where there is need bombing and shooting down, meanwhile I do what seems good including bombing carrier.

I hate being on the wrong side of good pilots. 

I'm with vengence on pilot missions.  Ground their airforce.  once it's accomplished then help out the guys on the ground.  The thing is it's a lot easier for the guys on the ground when they don't have to look behind them for enemy aircraft.  You still have to cover your butt from enemy ground forces, but no enemy air to worry about is a great feeling.  Goofing in a server when there wasn't enough players to start the round, I actually got my first jet to jet kill.  And against a guy who is way better than me in a jet.

I love doing this especially when I have another good pilot flying with me... I blow up their jets/choppers/tanks reload and while I reload the other pilot makes sure they stay grounded and then I come back and he reloads.

I leave most of the tanks/apcs to the attack choppers and infantry, but if my team needs help ill take out whats holding them up.

But if you have a good team all they need you to do is keep the choppers/jets off their backs IMO.
