Yeah,
With all the discussion on expert knife lately I finally decided to give it a go. Previously I though only padders and hackers could get expert knife, I guess I never seriously tried since vet was difficult for me. I tried several times on a 16/64 sever karland and nothing couldn't get 18 kills not even close.
So I read some articles and suggestions here is what I found useful, and my suggestions.
- play sniper ( sinper is the only kit that looks the same army to army ) it gave me the advantage on two kills.
Why? Don't know people think you have the red tag bug or when your right up on them they don't see the name tag???
- play sharqi with a 32/64 map, I tired on wake as well might work. I found that karland and other maps have too much armour or heli-copters etc... I think sharqi has decent ground movement. (If you have a killer chopper pilot on either team just forget the badge.
- Only play knife, don't drop claymores, don't snipe, don't shoot people with the pistol. Your trying to knife right are you not and you need 18 kills!!!! Sure he could have killed you first had you not pulled out the pistol (... are you sure about that ?) you could have hid ran away... hi might have ran after you... anyways by killing him you reduced the other teams tickets by 1 and sent him back to his spawn point shortening your time.
- Don't sprint all over the damn place! Once you find someone you have no sprint.
BEST ADVICE BE PATIENT AND WALK
Second best advise, hidehalfway between spawn points wait for people to run by and chase them down.
Look where your tank is raping, probably a few go AT kills there.
Hide around their flag don't capture it.
- USE THE UAV, drive don't run, then hide under the vehicle.

Anyways with all of the above I actually 20 kills with more than 40 points left on their side. It not a hard expert badge ( It's a very FRUSTRATING expert badge ).
Remember your an idiot when your trying to get this badge... remember the saying "Who takes a knife to a gun fight?"
I think it's more like "Who takes a knife into warfare, with artillery, tanks, fully automatic machineguns, grenade launchers, and a attack heli chasing you around the map?" NOW thats frustration.
Out of all my experts from easiest to hardest...
Pistol < Knife < Explosives (No C4 grenades... wish I knew that one then) < HEAL
Heals has to be the hardest to get I started trying for this badge since I had 500 heals to build up heals. I finally reached it only once with 6 points left in a round.
Hats off to people who have this one. For me the expert badge in knife is a thing of the past it's reatively easy comparded to other experts.
