Thats total bullshit man, so unfair we do a small thing we get fined. Some fucking chav smashes your windows and gets off the hook .

Yeah you will get the odd dick face in car but I have ridden on the road its not that bad just try and get used to it .
Just say sorry and don't get caught by the same officer on the same day or kick em and blast it

Or you can say
Your scared of getting run over, my mom doesn't want me to ride on the road, I'm allergic to tarmac i dunno!

i ride on the road some places in town, but one road is rediculously cycle unfriendly, (ie: heeuuuge roundabout,  big long straight road that people like to speed down, cars parked on the road so you have to cycle behind other cars or u get crushed)

get a car

thats the reason why they introduced it, kids from local high school are riding round people hitting people etc.
