Looking for someone with good upload speed and the means to host a rar file with several avi's of a "clan" using the spinning turrent exploit. The file is large, and I do not have the upload to host this on my own ftp server. Also, the size of the file far exceeds most web based file housing site. Person or persons hosting these files will need to have at least a CIR of 1.5 mbps up stream, anything less would take forever.

Sincerely,

5 .avi's ranging in size from 65 megs to 2 gigs, 1 .rar at 2.5 gig will all the .avi's packed, i am looking for a way to crunch them with out running them thru my editor, i don't want the video to be edited in anyway. everytime these ppl find an exploit, it makes the game 10% worse for the rest of us who don't cheat. spelling was never a strong point for me so... but you all get the point turrent... what ever.... i am almost 30, if i can't spell now i will never worry about it that is why god (bill gates so he thinks) invented spell check and al gore invented the internet . and i am not the one doing the cheating.. to drop to that level is far below what i would ever set my standards to.

There was a huge announcement on bf2s this week that the next one to post exploits here on bf2s will be removed swiftly from the forums. This means being banned perminently.

I m not saying you want to exploit bf2 yourself. I m just saying if you value your bf2s account then dont post any exploits on these forums.

maybe the other "clan" used this in a clanwar. and he needs to send it to clanbase to get this other "clan" into trouble

Right on!

If all the glitches and exploits become common knowledge through a big site such as this one, BF2 will become unplayable in a matter of days.

Imagine having a handful of players glitching/exploiting on every public server, players who are invisible and cannot be harmed by normal players. As soon as you kick/ban them, new ones appear. Many servers don't have admins logged in, so play there would turn into a total glitch-fest. Sure, players using exploits run the *risk* of being reported, but that takes tima.  Meanwhile, new glitchers are "recruited". For every glitch/exploit fixed in a patch, you can bet the hardcore cheaters find two new ones. Let's not give them free advertising. I saw Nitro post one on another site. Now wouldn't that be fun: playing BF2 with n+1 Nitros per team?

So don't post that shit here! Just don't.

How many of you people actually stopped to think maybe he just needs help reporting it to the right place and he has a crap connection and would like help with it? i can count 3 who have the brains to think with a bit of commonsense

# !-- I will not post the exploit here --!

i only have a 768k connection, that is not a CIR for those who question it (committed information rate) Ain't network engineering fun. FIOS = not in my area. only purpose behind this post was so that server admins can ID the exploit and ban accordingly, not to instruct others in making the game worse to the Nth degree. : รพ Being team killed for a piece of armor for certain ppl to cheat with becomes VERY irritating to say the least, and in the videos the "clan" in question openly admitting to using the exploit. So in conclusion, i will just hold on to these videos and notify EA about these individuals, who have had there stats reset before, i might add, and hope that EA takes more action, like banning cd keys making it a hardship to cheat, not just a nuisance. People having to pay $50.00 every time they get caught cheating, may make the game better for those of us who play the game the way it was intended to be played.

blah blah blah
here's what should be abundantly clear about exploit vids

they increase awareness that they exist and serve as a powerful tool to stop the exploits

i'd seen a lot of spinning turrets but had no idea what people were attempting to do until i saw an exploit vid.
seeing the real exploits and how they're done might even make me get booted less by newbie admins who can't explain why i'm better than them.

So, how do you expect to get this 2.5GB file to someone else? It's going to go just as slow, if not slower for you to send it to someone else than for you to just upload it yourself.

OK then, no flies on the original poster, but if you only need a small number of copies (for reporting purposes), why not burn a few DVDs and snail-mail them? I'm sure "the authorities" would be quite happy to cover your costs, even if you have to buy a new drive to make the DVDs. With your upload speed the DVD way might even be quicker than a "free" ftp service.

Just a thought.

PS  Or you can contact EA/rankedservers/pb/DICE/the powers that be and ask them for a folder and login on one of *their* file servers. I translate for EA Nordic, and that is usually how big files are handled. They put the huge dev files in a folder with my name on it and provide me with a login for that server/folder. I imagine it would be possible to use a similar solution to upload files to them.  DS

If you go to google video, and type bf2 exploit, you can see a good "awareness" video that shows you what to look for, and not how to duplicate it.

upon investigation, this is something thats going to get adde to pb VERY quickly.

mpeg is way too big. get virtualdub (open source for free, google it) and a good small codec (like xvid). open your avi in virtualdub, select the compression and render it. may take a time but better then handle with gigs of video footage...

as stated, vids will not be posted, dvd's are already burned after thought the with a 768k upload it would take an excess of 16 hours to upload. free ftp service, un-needed, i have my own ftp. thanx for the input everyone. happy fraggin, and death to cheaters :-)..... recon - - - out
