I know I probably shouldn't post this here but its for the good of my BF2! I swear! ;-)

One night not to long ago I shut down my CPU after a great day of BF2, I boot up the next night and the screen is blank. (flashing green light light the cpu is off). so I check all the power cords and all is good, I check all interal cords and all is good.

-puzzeling-

the optical mouse will not light up and the keyboard lights(num/scroll/caps lock) are all 3 lit up but very dull about 25% lit up.

I swap out the video card, same response
I swap out the power supply (400wt - 550wt), same response
I swap the HD, same response

I've looked at the main board and I didn't see any burn marks (like when I fryed my last 2) and the chip seems in good order, fans all working up to par.

Anyone have ANY idea? my best guess is on the main board right now? can anyone confirm or deny this?

tryed that, no luck, I even tryed a BIGGER sledgehammer.. the thing just keeps pissin me off. =[

You've fried 2 before now?! Jesus. I presume you build them yourself?

Either way, it does sound like it could be motherboard-related. Check your not shorting out any connections on the motherboard with anything conductive. Also make sure you've used the washers that come with the screws that screw it in.

There's usually a small switch on the PSU that allows switching between voltage types. Make sure it's on the one relevant to your country.

Otherwise, motherboard is buggered I reckon.

Problem solved, I sucked it up and went and bought a new mobo. that was the problem, oh yeah. the power supply was shot too, i tryed to use my old PS with the new mobo and heard some poppin and not good stuff, so I yanked it outta the wall and went and got a new neon green and blue flashy one, so over all a new mobo and PS I'm out about $200 USD. my best guess on what happened is that my old PS was going out (About 6 yrs old) and poped the mobo. Oh well, lesson learned.

I hope this helps you others out there that might come across the same problem.
