so im almost finished with a cheap-yet-able build consisting of old, used parts that still work fine

here is whats in it so far:

Asus P5ND2-SLI (NF4)
Intel Pentium 4 HT 3.8GHz
Biostar GeForce 6800GS 512MB
Kbyte 1GB DDR2 (one stick, not sure if its 667 or 533)
Apevia 550W PSU
Old yet decent e-Star case
Sanyo Denki San Ace Liquid Cooler

i can get the HDD and a copy of XP for free. i dont care about having dual core right now. i really just want to be able to play BF2. so here is what i wanted to get with about a $200 max limit for my birthday (friday, 17):

Kingston 1GB DDR2 667
ASUS SATA DVD-ROM
Saitek Eclipse II
Logitech MX518
Turtle Beach X-52

trust me, i need a new keyboard and mouse. i dont have any decent speakers, and since i need a mic for my clan's ventrilio, i thought i may as well treat myself to some nice peripherals. i already have a really nice stereo system in my room for music, so that surround sound headset for gaming would be perfect. i know the PSU i have in there is shit, but it works just fine. so i dont care.

im also getting a monitor, not included in the budget:
Sceptre 20.1" LCD
i know its cheap and not an immensely popular brand, but it should be fine... right? the specs look really good...

soo, any suggestions? should i drop something for something else you think i should have?

1GB DDR2 667MHz? Not very good at all.
DVD-ROM? Why not a DVD-RW.. they are practically the same price now!

The specifications of the monitor look alright, but I wouldn't be surprised if you had dead pixels or the monitor actually died. I always recommend you go by brand, not by price.

I would also say to just go for the DVD burner, they cost the same as DVD ROM drives.  And I must say, good choice on the MX518, I have it, and it is one of the favorite parts of my system.  Also, I would reccomend another gig of RAM, it's so cheap now-a-days that you should be able to get some cheap.  The monitor I can't comment on, but 20.1" give you a lot of space, so its nice to have.

im on a very limited budget. the stuff that i listed will JUST fit in the budget. the cheapest SATA DVD-ROM is about $17, the cheapest RW is about $30. dont have the money. plus, i already have an external DVD burner.

as for the monitor, same thing. most of the reviews ive read for that one are good. so im not worried. theres always RMA if somethings wrong with it..

it doesnt matter anyway. my mom randomly ordered the stuff without asking today. but it should all be fine. thanks for the help anyway.
