questions about battlefield 2

if i am posting this in the wrong section, someone let me know and i will delete this post and post it in the apropiate section.

i have a couple of questions about

1- how do you request for a UAV or supply drop? it doesnt show up in the booklet nor does it show up when i hit the tab key where "spot" and "medic" all show up

2- sometimes when in a tank, i am driving and i start repairing my tank when its about to explode but if it has little damage, it doesnt do it.
how low does the armor have to be before you start repairing it while driving? or does it just happen randomly?

oh and why do people say "no commander in vehicle" doesnt that hurt the teams chances of winning and makes it usless for a commander to be in a vehicle.. just wondering why people always get annoyed when they see one in a vehicle.

1. You need to be squad leader and hit T key.

2. Ive not seen a level that needs it, just flow with it.

Just wait till you need to drive off but cant cause the only vehicle in the area has the commander sitting in it.

ugh, noobs....ok, i'll play nice 1 more time....

1) have to be squad leader. then go to the map & right click where u want whatever.

2) dont think u repair it when ur inside. u must have been beside a supply crate.

PS: Search or look in the readme next time nub.

Actually, you don't have to be a squad leader to request those but you DO have to be a squad member or leader. Member's request goes to squad leader...squad leader's request goes to commander....chain of command.

And yes the default key is T.

1. you must be in a squad, then hit T

2. Tank burns when the Health turns red, and you must exit the tank to repair it. The commander probably dropped a supply crate near you (maybe I did it, I'll usually help tankers out like that)

Commanders waste the vehicle

Default button is T. If you are not in a squad, this button does nothing. If you are in a squad, hold 'T', and you can request commander assets to your squad leader who can, if he deems necessary, relay it to the commander. If you are the squad leader, the request will go right through to the commander.
If you are an engineer in a vehicle, you repair vehicles that are close to you, but not your own. You must have been near a supply crate or near a vehicle with an engineer in it or there was another engineer around repairing your tank manually.
This also applies to support and medics. When in a vehicle you will repair, resupply or heal anyone in or near your vehicle, depending on your kit.
As for commander in a vehicle, the servers want the commanders to be commanding, constantly scanning the battlefield, using their assets (artillery/UAV/Supplies/Vehicle drop) and not going around and getting points and waisting the commander's abilities.

There are many reasons for this if a commander is in a tank they are neglecting there commanding also they are in a tank and get damaged who gets the supply crate the troops or himself ??? also they get caught up in fighting rather than commanding which means they want all the supplies/UAV where they are so if you want to be in a tank dont command

Commanders should be tucked away in the best hiding spot they can find commanding there asses of telling there troops what areas are clear be ready to drop those supplie and Uav as soon as the squad leader requests it not thinking you will have to wait a minute cause I am in a battle with these 4 guys so I cant switch to my command screen
