My Friend wants to play bf2 so desperatly and im wondering if a Geforce FX 5700 can run the bare minmum specs for bf2. He has an older computer with like 512 ram and Pentium 4.

It can play it. Don't expect amazing graphics though.

Jap, FX5700 can run BF2 in low-medium settings in 1024x768.... I suggest at least 1GB RAM

Yep. I played my first 100h on a 5200 Runs fine, depending on the rest of the computer. I ran fine at 30FPS.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
