$15,000 grand is about what I hope to spend on the next TV I buy.

I'm telling you it's worth it. I have four HD TVs, and let me tell you, bigger is definitely better. I have a 25 in my study, a 37 in my office, a 42 in my bedroom and a 62 in my living room, and I'll let you guess which 3 go unwatched. If I'm at the office I'm working, if I'm in the study I'm playing BF2, if I'm in the bedroom I'm sleeping (or watching Family Guy late at night) and if I want to watch TV I go for the DLP in the living room. When I go to a friend's house and their "big TV" is a 42 inch jobbie, or even a 55, I feel like I need a microscope to know what the hell is going on.

I paid about $3,500 for the 62" DLP a little over a year ago when it was the biggest one they had, and I have never regretted it, even now that the price on that one is down around 2,000.

I'm holding out for the 100+ inch thing that's coming, and I don't care if it costs 20 grand. I might wait a few months and get it when it gets down to 10 grand, but it's completely worth it when football season comes.

I plan to have the 100, the 62, and the 42 all in the great room when football season rolls around, with an ABC toggle to the surround to change which game gets the sound. Delicious.

And I never watch regular TV. Just Family Guy in bed, football and baseball.

If you're gonna be a bear, be a grizzly bear.

Heres the thing though, my dad has a 60" Sony in our living room (If you dont believe me ill prove it) and i tried hookin the o'le PC up to it, but the biggest size on the screen i could get was around 40. It had something to do with resolution and the picture just kinda looked like shit. I dunno if this was because the TV was a TV, not a monitor. But i tried all the reso's and the best looking one only took up 40" of the 60. (roughly)

So im hoping with a 72" monitor the screen will take up ALL 72 inches.

Well it wasn't going to be cheap was it?

I'd get a projector and build my own mini cinema for that kind of money.

The one suck thing about having a 62" HD is that when you aren't watching something that's HD it looks like absolute shit. It's grainy and blurry. They make regular TV signals for 35" TVs or something, and when it blows it out to 62" it looks like hell. I recommend that you stick with 42 if you aren't going to get everything in HD. In all honesty, my 42 HD has a better picture than the 62, unless it's an HD broadcast.

And by the way, you aren't hanging a TV that big on the wall anyway, so skip the LCD and go for a DLP and put it on a stand. Much cheaper, better picture I think, and you aren't hanging it anyway so it doesn't make a shit if it's flat or not.
