You did disable it. What that means is that whenever you're on your comp, its going to be running at that speed and at that temperature......not good. People who OC for a living (they think its a living ) will tell you thats not good! They'll tell you their temps at 'Idle' and at 'Load', which means they use speed step. I've overclocked mine to just under your level but with 8x and a higher FSB, but I still use speed step.

'Intel Speed Step' turn it to Enable.
It appears to be unchangeable. I went in and it has an x next to it and I can't change it from disabled to enabled.

I turned on C1E Enhanced Holt State and now Speedfan's giving me a reading of 50c.

Hmmmmmmmm.....I'll see if I can find out why, its definetly worth having on. It'll keep the temps down and how long it lasts for, especially now you've clocked it quite high.
