Definetly do not go over 60c on load.

Maybe go up in 10's to start with, it should be fine though.

Get Orthos when you get to a higher clock to test stability, leave it on for a few hours when you think you are really pushing the CPU, if you get any warnings just go a bit bellow and see if thats OK.

Ok. Thanks.

Would you recommend doing it in bios though? Or does that program look ok?

Its easy to do it in BIOS and I know that it'll be 100% reliable that way.

Its not hard, just restart, go into BIOS (press Del or whatever it is) on motherboard screen, go to advance settings (I think its called that or something like that), make sure the multiplier is 10, then change the CPU Ratio or FSB (I dont know what its called on the Asus BIOS). Do the little calculation (10 x whatever FSB is) and there you go. Shouldn't need to change voltages until it gets to 3.3 or higher I suspect.

Thanks again.

I think I'll try in bios tomorrow.

The whole FSB thing confuses me, I'm ok with everything else.

If you don't mind going through it with me...!

I have the G5 with the two thumb buttons and it is by far the best mouse ever.  Does that mouse pad improve performance that much?

Just give me a PM tommorrow evening. I've gotta get some shut eye for work!

If you take a pic of your BIOS settings it'll help a lot.

I could buy a monster from Dell (I'm a Dell man ) with an 8800 ultra, intel quad core, 1TB of either RAM or memory, I'm not sure, but it has this sweet looking cooling system inside. This will set me back £3,800-$4,000 though, that's why I'll wait a year or so then buy it, PC stuff changes so often that this should be considerably chearer by then.

Nice rig, for that Zalman fan, is there a clip on the back of the mobo to hold it together? Does the correct clip come with the package with the fan?

Yep, it comes with a mount that goes on the back of the mobo and it screws through
