This is how I play and yes I know I suck (my stats say so) so please refrain from flaming on this post. Thank you for your time.
Welcome to shadowcell_01's tactical guide for infantry. This guide should help some of you wondering about how I get off some of the shots I do. Please take your time to read through this as I hope it will improve your skill level.
Part I: The AK-101
The ak-101 is a very powerful weapon and when used properly can wield amazing results. This gun can be used to lay out enemies at close range, or to pick them off in a small amount of shots at long range.
Part II: The M-16
The M-16 again when used properly can be equal to or better than the AK. The m-16 takes up in accuracy where it lacks in damage per shot. The burst fire is key for close range combat but remember one thing, for both AK and M-16 the ironsights will not do you well in close quarters.
Part III: Crouch and Prone
Crouching and going prone are very often used in the wrong ways. First off, you don't want to prone too often because you need to stay as mobile as possible and if you prone too often you will get killed because you cannot get up fast enough. Another thing is "crouch spamming". Crouching can keep you alive alot of times where you would have been dead. Whenever you're sneaking up on a group of enemies, don't prone. Again prone'ing will make you slower and make it harder for you to escape a hand grenade. Just crouch quickly and shoot a guy or two and duck and pop out and repeat. Another good idea is this, when going one on one with an enemy, start out standing, then go to crouching, then end in prone. This should be done fairly quickly so that you aren't too predictable. One last thing, After prone'ing just lightly tap your CROUCH key and you will stand up ALOT quicker as opposed to the spacebar or any other key.
Part IV: Videos
I will now link you to some videos of players who I think are exceptionally great players with the AK and M-16.
