Vista help

Hello, I just installed Vista Ulitimate and all is fine. But, when I play bf2 I get some jutteryness if you know what I mean. Its not my frame rates as they are 80-100.

My spec
AMD 4400 *2 Dule Core
2.5 gigs of ram
8800 GTS
250GB westerndigital HD
650W Coolmaster PSU.

Anyone know what could be causing it

Also, what specs do you other vista players play with?

See my specs (in my signature) for what I play with on Vista. Try disabling Aero theme? I've never had jutteryness, but I do always run the Aero theme. Just a suggestion.

I also have some problems since installing Vista. I'm also running a 8800GTS and for some reason the game is having a laggy framerate. I think it might have something to do with the sound, but I'm not sure.

From what I've read, you're not the only person that has 'issues' running BF2 under Vista.

As ca6 says, could be sound related - try turning your Audio settings down to minimum.

Could also be a video (or sound) driver issue - not much you can do about that until they release better drivers (if that is in fact the issue).

i can confirm this, i was running vista and had problems like you, installed xp and it all went away.

I'm on Home Premium...The only problem I have with BF2 is sometimes a CTD. But BF2 ALWAYS does that, even on XP.

BF2 on all high

Hmm... That suggests it could be some difference between Home Premium and Ultimate...

Well, just a guess, but I'm figuring Ultimate takes more RAM.

ultimate has more features

i.e Aero, Sidebar ect.

home premium is just basic vista with Aero

i dont get any of the neat options that vista has with home.
