Ok, I go first.

I'm addicted. Just gotta have more. Can't help it really. It all started when I was in the army. Saw a cool tattoo and said to myself. Next time I'm home, I'm getting one! So I did. It was a 'tribal' at my left arm. But I had no idea I was triggered for life! Allthough it hurts like hell at the time, and feeling a bit sore the next following days, I simply can't get enough of them. Luckily my wife likes my ink work so I didn't have to stop when I got married.
Now, 8 years later, I have built on my 'tribal' on my left arm. Now from the wrist and all the way up to my neck. Chest, legs, back, even on my pecker... The last one was a stupid bet I made when I was drunk... So I had to do it.

So what about you guys? You have some? Let's hear it!

Think about it this way. When you reach to the point in your life when your skin is all saggy, you can distort and play around with your tattoo's, kinda like a real life photoshop filter.

If you're thinking of todays old people who has tattoo's, this art has become extremely professional. (you always find some poor artists too...) But todays tattoo's won't look so bad when we get old 'cause it's a whloe different set of needles and ink. And if you still be able to keep your body in a good condition, they'll look good.

what do you think you're paper, or maybe a billboard?

i dont know man. i got a purely original design a few years back and i still love it. its become a part of me now and i wouldnt change my decision to get it ever. in fact i have many more lined up. all significant. ones dedicated to my uncle, he was a great part of my life...and it feels right.

also...when people ask me about how ill think of my tattoos when im 80....i always answer with
"when im 80 ill be sitting in a diaper in a nursing home...having nurses clean up after me...do you really think ink will be my greatest worry"...

no..it wont

true..if by getting the idea there was someone with one before me..then yes..i saw someone with a tattoo and was like.."game on"
same for people playing guitar...you can always say someone else influenced them to do almost any action in life.
i agree with what you are saying, dont get me wrong. but i did these for me and those close that ive lost...and i dont think i could go wrong there.

i hate people that get tattoos just to look cool or fit in with their friends. thats just lame. and i see it all the time. 4 guys at a bar with the same arm band...ha...no thanks. id rather draw mine myself or base it off of something important in my life

I owuld like a tattoo some day but want to have something that means alot to me,not something i will look at in 40 years and think "What the hell did i do that for ,now i have a blue blur on my arm.."

I've seen awesome tatts thats are on & around you knee, so when you leg is straight it looks like the terminator, but when your leg is bent it looks like a pussy, that was sweet.

I'd probably only get a Tat if it was part of a group thing. I like some of the Maori designs, although traditionally those go on really exposed places, (face,) and I wouldn't be that keen on having a Moko.
