Does anyone actually bother going after them anymore? If no, why? And please don't blame the stats problem.

I've been playing this game awhile now and have a few medals and ribbons, but for some time now, I only boot up bf2 to hear the enemy scream medic.

I'm such a whore.

i go for them, but because most of them are time based i dont bother with ones that take unnatural hours to get.

I only recently got a promotion to Sgt. Major or some thing, one under the butter bar. I think I only play for those now. Oh, and the screams of medic from the enemy.

TBH I've probably gotten most of the ribbons / medals I'm gonna get.

I have Veteran in all my Kits but Expert ? Maybe if I get it as a fighting commander including Arty Kills.

The Vet Aviator & Heli ? Probably not gonna get'm. I suck at flying and hardly ever practice.

The next ribbon I see myself getting is War College.

Yeah, I guess I do.

It also helps me keep track of my weak points, I then start practicing on those areas, until I can obtain the award.

So, going for the awards can make you work at being a better all around player, instead nade spaming, or medic whoring.

i've kinda given up on BF2. I like SWAT 4 Multiplayer much better. the action is much more compact and fast paced and there are manyweapon choices and such. not to mention that it is much more balanced.

Of course!!! If it wasn't for the achievements and ranking system I think I never would have spent nearly 300 hours playing this game. It's fun as hell trying to get awards. You'll always have something to work for (as long as you played long enough...)

My next goals for this game:

-Expert Support Combat Badge. (10+ left)
-Expert Resupply Badge. (10+ left)
-Marksman Infantery Medal. (25 hours left)

When they manage to fix SF I would also go for:

-Expert Specialist Support Badge. (10+ left)
-Expert zip-line. (Missing 67)
-Spetsnaz Service Medal. (16 hours left)
-Insurgeants Service Medal. (14½ hours left)
-Rebel Service Ribbon. (22½ hours left)

And way down the road I can see my promotion. ONLY 22,634 points left......

i thought medals today.....i decided that the only way im getting my expert AT and specops is when i command for wcr and such. other than that im going to be whoring support and medic because i want to raise my spm....and rank up faster seeing that im 100+ hours behind most ranks above me because i spent time on other expert/vet badges =\

Yes, I do. But if you look at my stats, I am at a point where it takes a loooong time to get a new award. I hope they fix the SF awards soon, 'cause I still have some left and I want them!!

Just had a guy do that with a full blackhawk on wake.....I hate people who do that, I can sympathise though. They need air time for badges, but seriously, not when the blackhawk is full ffs

I have been playing a lot of Special Forces and have gotten some of the bagdes etc there but still no show in the BFHQ. I still get my golds and silvers though, so I suppose its not all that bad? Even got the mythical Eastern Service Ribbon on the 10th but thats only because I wrote an email or 2 moaning at E.A about it, saying that I did get my Helicopter Ribbon afew days ago some something is happening!

You can go for expert engineer badge. A tough one, but I think you'll pull it off.

expert engineer badge - I know, it's very hard, though. A long time ago I almost got it once - bad luck!!!

Yes, I know about the veteran aviator and I want to become a General "only" 28 hours in a jet left Damn! But actually I am becomming a better pilot! I used to suck real bad, but I am getting better.

My first 50 hours was like hell. Didn't hit shit, got pissed on, you name it... Got my ass whopped so I couldn't sit for a week. I was below 0.3, but after that I became a better player. That's what my stats say...
