It is gameplay. I think of the graphics as an extra to thing to make the game more pleasant to play.

I think good graphics makes the gameplay better, but over gameplay is still way more important.
Game play, I learned my lesson with NFS:Carbon. It looked pretty but the gameplay sucked. Less than 10 hours to beat the game? I'll pass.
